Herdsman hacks his own brother to death over missing cow

Herdsman hacks his own brother to death over missing cow . .

The Nasarawa state police command has arrested a 22-year-old man identified as Bello Musa, for killing his elder brother, Abdullahi Musa, with a matchete, over his missing cow in Akwuate village in Doma local government area on March 9th. Bello gave the deceased a fatal cut on the neck, when a scuffle ensued between them over the missing cattle.
Narrating how he killed his brother, Bello said

. “My brother, Abdullahi and myself took our cattle for grazing. Later we discovered that one cattle which was not our own had joined our herd. We were three who made the discovery – Abdullahi, one Ibrahim and myself. Abdullahi and I agreed to sell it. Later he asked me to go and sell it in the market. As I was taking the cattle, it escaped from me. I returned back to tell Abdullahi. He did not believe me. He accused of selling the cattle N300,000.  I tried to explain to him, but he insisted that I sold the cattle for N300,000. My father tried to settle the matter, without success. .
.
. “Abdullahi said that I must pay N300,000 for the cattle or he would kill me. I challenged him on why he would want to kill me over the cattle that escaped from me.  Then he began making phone calls to his friends, telling them I am a liar and that I sold the cattle for N300,000. I became very angry and we started fighting. In the course of the fight, he injured me on my right hand and I cut him with my cutlass on the neck.”

Bello then ran to the General Hospital in Eleye area to treat his wound. The eagle-eyed doctor who attended to him, became suspicious after listening to the story of how he sustained the injury. He carefully treated him and then stepped aside to make a call to the Eleye Police Station. A team of policemen came to the hospital and arrested him. He was subsequently handed over to the Nasarawa police headquarters where he was detained for further investigation.
Bello would soon be charged to court for murder.

No PVC, No Salary In Imo - Rochas Okorocha

No PVC, No Salary In Imo - Rochas Okorocha

Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC, will henceforth be a prerequisite for taking part in various activities in Imo State, including receipt of salaries by civil servants. .

Governor Rochas Okorocha who declared this while speaking with the press in Owerri on Saturday, said the extreme measure is to curb the ‘I-don’t-care-attitude’ of people of the state towards the collection of their PVCs. .

He added that without presentation of their PVCs, residents of the state will not be able to participate in socio-economic activities such as payment of salaries and getting admission into schools. .

Okorocha lamented that many people in the state are not concerned about getting the PVC, which will make them eligible for enjoying many benefits in the state. .

According to him, “The government is going to initiate the policy of ‘operation-show-your-PVC’ before you can enter the market to buy or sell and before you can do business or get anything from the government, and before your child can be admitted into schools. .

Even before workers receive their salaries from the government, they must show their PVC. We cannot allow the I-don’t-care-attitude of our people towards the exercise to continue unchecked.”

Popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji announce launch date for her TV channel, Linda Ikeji TV, online version

Linda Ikeji TV channel online version launch date

Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji announces the date to launch her TV channel online, Lindaikejitv and also explains how much she spent on it while also enlisting the programs that will be hired on the channel.

She said this in one of her instagram post, read below;

"Hi guys, so in exactly one month from today, May 22nd, the online version of our Linda Ikeji TV channel will debut. Why online first? Well, the world is online, so despite the fact that we are going to have a DSTV channel, having an online version of our platform was very important to me, mostly for our potential consumers who don't live in Nigeria and have no access to cable in Nigeria, plus so many Nigerians who live in Nigeria get their content online.
Bringing our amazing content to consumers all over the world, instead of being restricted only Nigeria, was important to me. We are starting with our Nigerian content but plan expand to other African countries.
We are hoping to be to Africa what Netflix is to the world. (They have 125million subscribers and made a profit of $11billion in 2017) 😆. When we launch in May, I hope you guys will come through for your girl and subscribe to the TV channel to watch all the amazing content we have put together which includes all our reality shows, sitcoms, TV series, comedy shows, movies and so many TV shows.
In the last one and a half years, I have spent at least half a billion Naira of my own money (no bank loan, no investors) to put this TV channel together (equipment, studios, manpower/staff, producing/buying of content, rents, licensing etc). I truly hope you guys will love & enjoy our programmes, which includes Oyinbo Wives of Lagos, Gidi Girls, King Tonto, Toyin Abraham: True and Bare, Ajegunle With Love, Football Wives, Ex-girlfriends of Nigerian Entertainers, Made In Gidi, Magodo Mums and their single friend, Ice Prince: Rise and Grind, Annabel: My life as a former Nigerian stripper, Highway Girls of Eko (a show on real life prostitutes), Leading Ladies Africa, Verified, Double Trouble, How Well Do You Know Me (A couple's game show), Gossip Court, The Report Card, Bars (a show on the Nigerian hip hop culture) Phenomenons (interviews of some of the greatest Nigerian achievers), Classics, Igwe Must Hear This, The Paranormal House on Brown Road (a sitcom about ghosts), and so many other shows.
Plus we have quite a number of TV series/dramas & movies.
Gosh, can't wait to unveil our channel on May 22nd. 🤩"
Congratulations To Her!

Cee-C is better than Buhari - Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri thinks big brother naija 2018 housemate, cee-c is better than the Nigerian President , Muhammadu Buhari .

In one of his tweets he wrote;

Cee-C is even better than Buhari. At least after insulting Tobi, she realized her error and apologized. Rather than apologize after calling Nigerian youths lazy, Buhari justifies it. If Cee-C is worthy of eviction, Buhari is thrice as worthy and should be evicted from Aso Rock!

Banky W reacts to the 'Nigerian youths are lazy' comment by President Buhari

Banky W reacts to the 'Nigerian youths are lazy' comment by President Buhari

Reacting to the president's comment on Nigerian youth, singer Banky W has this to say.
Read below ;

"So apparently, this is what our President thinks about the Nigerian youth. What do you guys think?

 I have a suggestion. Whether you agree, or disagree with the President's comments, this time, do a little bit more than posting, commenting, retweeting, and complaining. Go and register to vote. I've sat in countless meetings, seminars, conferences and hangouts with young people.

We are always great at pointing out our issues.. but the truth is that we can sit around and complain from now until Kingdom come. IT WILL NOT MATTER. INEC will not count your tweets.

Let's turn the month of May into #PVCMay. Even if you don't know who you're voting for.. even if you hate every single candidate. At least register.. so that if someone comes along who you feel compelled to support, you can. If you're really serious about wanting Nigeria to be a better place, go and register to vote. Get your PVC asap.

The registration period will end LONG before the elections come, so if you think you can wait until next year, you are wrong. Get your PVC today. Or don't bother complaining about anything, because it won't matter. Your tweets will not count. Your vote will."

How Mercy aigbe and cusson baby cheated parents with their candidates at #CussonsBaby Moment Competition

CussonsBaby Moment Competition

The scandal rocking PZ Cussons Nigeria Ltd over their ongoing CussonsBaby Moment Competition just gets more interesting.
 Recall that Nigerian parents nationwide had cried out on social media over how the company exploited them by making them promote the brand through canvassing for votes for their babies via social media and accused the company of having their winners already through inside connections.

 Well, it happens that indeed inside connections is a major factor in the Cussons baby contest and it is far from being free and fair just as parents have accused. News every hour can now authoritatively tell you, amidst other bundles of evidences we have gathered and which will be released shortly, that one of the babies getting an unreserved favour in the contest is Baby Yassir, who happens to be son of Adewunmi Fatai, the make-up artiste to actress Mercy Aigbe.(Pictured) .

Mercy Aigbe is one of the three judges of the contest. Mercy, alongside Designer, Mai Atafo and photographer, Yetunde Babaeko are the judges making decisions in the contest. In all reputable and credible contest globally, judges and staff of the companies organising a contest are not allowed to have any previous relationship with contestants.

 Below is a snapshot of an example of such rules from a similar contest organised by Pears Baby Product, but unfortunaly from the beginning of the Cussons contest the company had assured parents that it was free and fair even as they have refused to be transparently with their policies and will change it arbitrarily every now and then to suit their ulterior motives
