“EFCC is not involved in Hushpuppi’s arrest” - EFCC chairman, Magu

The EFFC led by the Acting Chairman, Mr. Abass has finally broken silence on the reported arrest of Nigerian billionaire Raymond Igbalode popularly called Hushpuppi in Dubai by the FBI and INTERPOL.


Speaking with TVC News Journalist on Friday, June 12, 2020, Mr. Magu indicated that EFFC is yet to be involved in Hushpuppi’s fraud case.

He also addressed the increasing menace of fraud cases in Nigerian and how they are tackling it.

He said, 
“We are yet to be involved in the case of Hushpuppi, but if they happen to give us this thing (details) we would assist.” 
Mr. Magu further revealed that his Commission is not all about arresting and prosecuting internet fraudsters but, also involved in rehabilitating the suspects.
