We heard of the Drama that went on between Davido and his manager, Kamal Ajiboye. Earlier this year, Davido took to snapchat dropping hints that he and Kamal Ajiboye have split. His caption read “I am my own manager 2017’, Don’t put your life for another man hand”. Kamal has since then refused to make comments about this . Since then, rumors emerged about the possibility of Asa Asika returning to handle David’s career after previous split in 2011. According to a Snap posted by Special Ed, Davido’s hypeman, a caption read “Asa Asika update” which drops hint about Asa Asika assuming the role of Davido’s manager.
Davido again insinuated that he was finally done with Kamal Ajiboye adding to the ongoing rumors saying "Why is everyone so happy that nigga gone. LMAO. The list of people saying 'Thank God' is too long, Don't step on your toes while you're up because you'll never know when your time would be up." The rumours appeared to be true as Davido confirmed Asa Asika to be his manager taking to twitter to welcome him.
Asa Asika was the man behind Davido’s come up as far back as 2011. They split after some years together but that didn't stop Asa Asika from doing his thing. He has been in charge of quite a number of notable artistes which include Naeto C, Ayo Jay, Boj etc under his management company named Stargaze.
