West Africa Blogger Awards 2017 - Blogger To Celebrity

West Africa Blogger Awards 2017

Bloggers are very important part of online journalism, and over the years firms have make good use of their influence in promoting and increasing sales of products and brand over the years, politicians for their campaigns.

From the period of 2005 the entertainment industry has grown beyond expectations and the wrong set of people have been celebrated for that cause.  Wizkid and Co. Might have been the ones dishing out the content but it is the tired less work of the blogging community that has projected the industry.

Ask yourself if wizkid releases a new single and there is no blog to download it, no hype by bloggers and no rating. Will he have a hit like 'one dance and ojuelegba'?

That's not all, West Africans are more conscious of the politics in their various countries, we no longer the slave to our leaders like we use to be, we have started speaking out and thanks to these bloggers that have taken the brave step of leading the way and giving us a platform to do so.

We can go on and on about how important the bloggers are but the truth is we don't appreciate them enough like we should do. We judge them by the few money seeking lazy people that involve in fraudulent information dissemination, we call them not credible at the slightest chance we get.

These reasons are why the organizers of West Africa Bloggers Award have come together to celebrate hard working and credible bloggers in West Africa for each year on the big stage.

The theme for this year is "BLOGGER TO CELEBRITY"

We are taking bloggers away from behind their computer and smartphone to the West Africa stage and present them to the world.
